Our Hydrology and Hydraulics Group has an opening for a Project Manager. In this position you will be involved in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses supporting government entities; projects will include drainage impact analyses, transportation drainage studies and channel analysis. Aspects of the job include technical analysis and design with some client correspondence, team leadership, budgeting, and planning. The selected candidate will work from our Houston or Austin office.


  • Project Manager will be responsible for providing technical analysis of a large and important engineering project or a number of smaller projects with many complex drainage features.
  • Provide technical support with the help of a team to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports with knowledge of municipal and federal requirements.
  • Use standard and advanced modeling techniques, theory, and practices in hydrology and hydraulics related disciplines.


  • Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) a plus.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Regularly work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously.
  • Prepare technical documents including drainage reports, hydraulic reports for transportation projects, and scour report.


  • 5-12 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Proficient in commonly used H&H software (HEC-RAS, HMS, Unsteady, XP-SWMM or Storm).
  • Experienced with ArcGIS Software (3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, ArcHydro, HEC - GeoHMS, and HEC - GeoRAS).
  • Strong communication skills.


This position reports to the Director of H&H and has the potential of advancement into Senior Project Manager role.
